SPRINKLER WINTERIZATION
- Sprinkler Blowouts: Prevent severe damage and costly repairs with an affordable sprinkler blowout! When water freezes it expands by 10%, causing pressure on the Pipes, Valves, Backflow, and Sprinkler heads.
- Commercial Air Compressor: We use a commercial compressor with 80-100 cubic feet per minute (CFM) to expel the water out of the system.
- When to Winterize: The beginning of October is a great time to put the system to bed to prevent costly damages.
- Backflow Preventer: The most common component to freeze is the backflow. Backflow preventers are made of brass they have been constructed with parts designed to fail before the Backflow body.
- What's Included in winterization:
- System check, repairs will be completed (at additional cost) to ensure proper blowout.
- Shut off water supply line to the Irrigation system and turn off the controller.
- Drain damaging water from Backflow preventer.
- Expel water from Backflow, Manifold, Control Valves, Lateral Lines, and sprinkler heads.
